We moved to New York City in August. Joseph is going to school at New York Law School. We love New York and are really excited to be here. We have already had several of our family and friends come to visit!

We Live only 3 blocks from Central Park. In some places you can't even tell you are in the middle of the city. It is so beautiful there.

This was our view from the Grand Hyatt. We stayed there for my work before we moved here. The architecture is amazing in the City.
The buildings are really incredible!

Ryan moved to Maryland this summer and Jaren came to help. They were able to come up for a short visit. This is the pier at Battery Park where the Statue of Liberty is.

When you come to visit you have to try Maxi's cheesecake! It is the best cheesecake in NYC! Joseph's favorite is blueberry and I like strawberry.

Melanie came to visit for a weekend. We had a lot of fun walking through Times Square. For all you others who came to visit, please send me the pictures you took so I can post them also!

This is Joseph's law school. It is in Tribeca near Wall Street and the World Trade Center.

This is the street we live on. This image was pulled from Google Maps. You can put in an address and "drive" through the streets, looking at images of everything. You can all check out our neighborhood this way. If you want our address, call or email me!

This was what our apartment looked like before we moved in. Now it looks a lot smaller with all of our stuff! This is the living room/kitchen and we have a bedroom barely big enough to fit our queen bed and a dresser. It really is small and we pay an arm and a leg for it, but its worth it! We found out some people pay a lot more than we do, so we feel like we got a deal.

We won the lottery for Wicked twice! You have to put your name in a drawing and 13 people win. The first time we won, Joseph's name was called. The second time, my name was called 1st, Joseph's was called 3rd, and Ryan's was called last. We are one lucky family! Wicked is awsome! We really liked it.

Boston

We are in Boston this week. I am working at Mass Eye & Ear Infirmary. I get to audit employee time cards! Its really exciting work! Not really actually, but the best thing about it is that Joseph and I get to be together and we get to experience Boston. This is a really beautiful city. The architecture is very cool; its a mix of colonial with modern. We almost feel like we are stepping right back into the birth of our nation.

This is the Boston Public Gardens in March. Its not far from the hotel where we stay.

This was funny; the squirrel was feasting on an apple core while lounging on the edge of the garbage can.

For my birthday, Joseph took me to Sorellina, a really really nice Italian restaraunt in Boston. It was the nicest retaraunt we have ever eaten at. Joseph was really nervous about making sure everything was just right. It was really sweet and we had a great time!

Our appetizer was "LANGOSTINO," New Zealand, saffron arancini, crab sugo. It was excellent.

A Room with a View

Welcome to our apartment! We are so glad you came to visit! This is what we will say when you really do come to visit. For now, enjoy the pics.

This was the first, but thankfully not the last apartment we looked at. The tree and everything else were falling apart. Great view too!

Stage 1: The empty apartment

Stage 2: Moving in

Stage 3: Eating on the floor until we had enough money to buy a table :)

P.S. Does anyone know how to rotate pictures? I couldn't figure it out.

Stage 4: Finally, a kitchen table!

Stage 5: The final product (only 6 months later!)

We Miss You

We love looking at our familiy's blogs because it makes us feel not so homesick. So we thought we should create one too, so that we can share some of our experiences with you all and keep in touch.

We moved to New Jersey last July and have really enjoyed it. We have been able to travel all over the North East and see places like New York City, Boston, Washington D.C., Palmyra, and the New Jersey Shore. Its beautiful here. We will keep trying to get our family to relocate. You all need to at least visit!
